We are bringing together thinkers, scientists, writers, activists, and artists to envision the future of #Atlanta as an answer to the question, ‘Where Are We Going?’

The “Artist of the week” segment serves subsequently to the “Photographer of the week series.” This series entails artists beyond the industry of photography and touches on multiple art forms to promote, inform and inspire SCAD students. This week Allen Jaion Powell, a fourth-year painting and fashion design student shares some insight into his talent and current projects.

SCAD Art Sales’ semiannual Open Studio event takes place this weekend with nearly 1,500 works from more than 500 artists in SCAD’s network of students, alumni, faculty and staff. All the items are available to shop online, and there are in-person previews too at SCAD Atlanta. AJ featured painting ““Super Kiss.”

Eleanore and Domenico De Sole have championed the dreams and aspirations of SCAD students and alumni. Most recently, Domenico returned to SCAD with the wildly popular film by Ridley Scott, "House of Gucci."
